PASTOR

Pastor Samuel Jerome was born in Carrefour-Feuilles, a neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Mr. Pierre-Paul Jerome and Mrs. Yolande N. Jerome, both deceased, as a second-generation Adventist. He grew up in the Adventist Church and quickly became a part of youth ministries at an early age. Pastor Jerome went through the ranks of youth ministries as an Adventurer, a Pathfinder, and a Master Guide with PLA (Pathfinder Leadership Award) and PIA (Pathfinder Instructor Award) certifications.  

Pastor Jerome’s talents were exercised principally in the 1990s at the Philadelphie SDA Church in Malden, MA, where he served as Youth Director, Communications Director, Treasurer for five years, Personal Ministry Director, Pathfinder Director, Elder and Head Elder and church musician.  He has served the sisterhood of churches as Pathfinder Coordinator for the New England North Area for nine successful years. 

Pastor Jerome is a product of Adventist Christian Education going back to kindergarten. Pastor Jerome is a graduate of Atlantic Union College with a B.A. in Theology. He also graduated from the Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary with a Master of Art in Pastoral Ministry.  

Pastor Jerome has served as a bible worker to develop the Beth-Union SDA Company, Lawrence, MA, and the Bethesda SDA Church, Hyde Park, MA, for the Southern New England Conference of SDA.  In June 2018, Pastor Jerome received a call from Dr. Daniel Honoré, former President of the Northeastern Conference, to serve as District Pastor for Sichem Temple SDA Church and Sion SDA Church.  In March 2022, in consultation with his family, Pastor Jerome accepted the call from his home conference, by Dr. Jorge Aguero, President of the New Jersey Conference, to serve as Senior Pastor for the District of All Nations Community SDA Church, Maranatha Haitian SDA Church, and Jersey City SDA. 

Pastor Jerome is a husband and a father.  He is happily married to his wife, Jardine D. Jerome and they have five adult children. Pastor Jerome is an avid music lover, especially Hymns and Negro Spirituals.  He enjoys playing the piano and organ. His favorite Bible text is Psalm 113:7, 8. His favorite quote is: “But like the stars in the vast circuit of their appointed path, God’s purposes know no haste and no delay.” D.A 32
