That makes disciples…

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20

Of all nations and generations…

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” – Matthew 24:14

BELIEFS

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs, and our faith movement is the result of “Sola Scriptura”—the Bible, and the Bible alone, as the only standard of faith and practice for followers of Christ.

Adventists hold 28 core beliefs that can be organized into six categories. The doctrines of: God, humanity, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity.

GOD

God is love, power, and splendor—and God is a mystery. His ways are far beyond us, but He still reaches out to us. God is infinite yet intimate, three yet one, all-knowing yet all-forgiving.

HUMANITY

From DNA to distant galaxies, we are surrounded by wonder. Yet beauty is broken. Once molded in God’s image, now fractured by sin, it took a perfect Savior to reconcile us.

SALVATION

God sent His Son to rebuild the shattered relationship between heaven and earth and His Spirit to mend the broken image of God in us. The Spirit empowers us to reach out to others, demonstrating love and representing our Savior and Creator to a broken world we’re called to repair.

CHURCH

Jesus left His followers with an epic mission: to tell the world of His love and His promise to return. As followers of Jesus, the church is called and inspired to act like Him: selflessly serving others, relying on God for strength, absorbing God’s Word and telling the world about His Love. Male and female, rich and poor, people from all backgrounds or ethnicities are all equal in Jesus.

LIVING

God desires us to live in wholeness and balance, caring for our bodies, refining our minds and nourishing our spirits. Knowing the high price Jesus paid to redeem us, we desire to glorify God in every aspect of our lives. As the Spirit lives in us, we seek to uplift others and embody God’s grace in our actions and interactions.

RESTORATION

Because He endured every temptation we face, we can trust Jesus to understand our struggles and strengthen us when we need help. Jesus is our mediator, forgiving our sins and restoring our broken relationship with God.
